{"id":836,"date":"2018-10-12T09:00:19","date_gmt":"2018-10-12T09:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goshawk-communications-com.stackstaging.com\/?p=836"},"modified":"2025-05-21T14:43:59","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T13:43:59","slug":"the-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goshawk-international.com\/?p=836","title":{"rendered":"Goshawk features in The Times"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Media interest in Goshawk\u2019s transformative technology continues to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week, The Times showcased Goshawk\u2019s story on page 2 of the newspaper, as well as featuring the story online in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/mobile-phones-get-digital-hearing-aid-2kmm3dph6\">Technology section<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Referring to the <a href=\"https:\/\/goshawk-communications.com\/2018\/10\/08\/clinical-trial-results\/\"><u>clinical trial<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;of the new service on the Isle of Man, the article noted that 90% of people who used the service, said that it made speech over the phone clearer and helped them to understand conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CEO of Goshawk Communications, <a href=\"https:\/\/goshawk-communications.com\/our-story\/\"><u>Matthew Turner<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;(who lives with hearing loss himself) spoke to Science Editor, Tom Whipple, about the importance of mobile phones in our lives, and his determination to make those living with hearing loss, part of the conversation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI realised that I was really struggling to use the mobile phone. I asked a simple question, \u2018Why is there not a voice signal as powerful and clear as a hearing aid?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Explaining the solution, Whipple stated, \u2018Goshawk Communications have created a system that, rather than increasing the volume, intercepts the signal and sends an altered version without delay to a phone.
